Through its many programs, LAST HOPE, INC. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization that is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of death-due pound, stray and abandoned animals. Saint Paul Animal Control transfers animals to the following organizations for fostering and adoption.LAST HOPE, INC. Saint Paul Animal Control currently promotes partner release over direct adoption to ensure animals receive prompt veterinary services and find new homes as quickly as possible. ![]() Most animals sheltered at Saint Paul Animal Control (SPAC) that are not reunited with their owners are released to approved rescue partners. No animal will be released without some type of restraint. Leashes, collars, and carrying boxes are available for purchase. Remember to bring a leash to reclaim a dog and a carrying case or box to reclaim a cat or small animal. Rabies - If your animal is impounded, and you are not able to show proof of a current rabies vaccination at the time you pick it up, your pet will be vaccinated at the shelter for $30.Īll fees and penalties must be paid in full before the animal can be released. If your dog is impounded for running at large and is not spayed or neutered, the penalty fees range from $52 to $207 and increase each time the animal is impounded. Penalty Fees - If your dog is impounded and not currently licensed, there is a $52 penalty fee. Impounding Fees - If your animal is impounded by Animal Control, there is a $35 impoundment fee. ![]() Animal Control does not provide boarding of animals to the general public. Boarding fees apply to impounded and seized animals only.
